Swaggering Toward Disney

Today we're talking about Swagbucks.
Swagbucks is a website where you do small tasks: watch videos, take surveys, play games, for points. They also give points back for online shopping. I use these on Ebay and Michaels and other sites. With the holidays coming, it's a great way to get a bit of a rebate.

These points can be redeemed for gift cards or Paypal payouts.

My referral code is http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/AngeliaSparrow

Here's how to make the most of Swagbucks:
1) Do the Daily Goal. Every day. One day gets you 3 points, 7 consecutive days gets you an extra ten points. Doing this every day compounds your earnings.

2) Do the poll. It's only one point, but it's only a couple seconds.

3) The daily discover often require you to buy something. But now and then, there are things  you can just sign up for: crochet newsletters, Pilsbury coupons. And you get a substantial number of points for these (15-40) If there are freebies, go for it.

4) Watch the videos. You don't have to sit and watch them. Let a playlist run while you cook, or take a shower. Feel free to watch, if some interest you. (Let them run at bedtime or while you're at work)

5) The Deal of the Day is never anything I am interested in. But you might be.

6) Surveys. These can be a huge time sink as you try to find one you're qualified for. But try the shorter ones with high points. We've done everything from simple online surveys to home product tests.

7) The Games. The free ones can give you a 10 point boost toward that daily goal. Like many flash games, they don't run under Google Chrome.

8) Shopping using swagbucks is only useful if you'd be doing the shopping anyway. Most places it's 2%. Spend $20, get 40 points. Watch for deals. WalMart is offering 10 points per dollar spent.

So, you've worked hard, and gotten a few thousand swag points.
Now it's time to redeem them. Always check the sale section first.

Right now a $25 visa card costs 2175 points. That's a 13% savings.
Paypal pays out $25 for 2500.
Amazon and Target have $25 gift cards for 2200 points.

I only have about 900 points, so I'm not buying yet. But I have plans we will discuss in another blog when I implement them.

Again, if you think this might be for you, here's my referral code. I get a kickback when you sign up and earn points.
